A feed with no fixed end keeps giving you another item. You have to choose where to stop, whether that is after one reel, when you find an answer or at a time you set.
There is always another reel to watch. The next is ready.
A page that ends gives you an obvious place to stop. A feed can load more posts before you reach the bottom of the page. You can keep moving without choosing a new page.

Imagine two lists that begin with the same twenty posts. One ends there. The other keeps adding posts as you scroll. In the first, you can see when you have read everything; in the second, finishing the list may never be an option.
The CMA’s review of online design examines how screens shape choices. For a feed, look at what happens after each item and whether the app shows the time you have spent.
You can choose an ending that fits why you opened it: watch the saved reel, answer a message or find the tutorial you need. If you came to browse, you can still choose a time to finish.
Renura can offer a pause while you use the app. It does not know what you are watching or whether you want another reel. The pause gives you a moment to make that choice yourself.
