Record the first paid amount, billing interval, renewal date and how to cancel through the place that bills you. A trial ending and access ending need not be the same event.
Put the dates somewhere visible. A free start can include permission for a later charge.
In an invented seven-day trial beginning on 10 October, the terms state the first $49.90 charge on 17 October. They also specify the cutoff for cancellation. Use that stated cutoff, including time zone, rather than assuming any action during the seventh day will be early enough.
The FTC’s trial guidance recommends checking renewal and cancellation details before supplying payment information. Actual offers can differ in trial length, reminder timing and refund conditions.

Find who bills you. A service bought through an app store may require cancellation there; a direct website purchase may have another route. Save the enrolment confirmation so the billing channel is available later.
Google Play’s documentation states that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription. You need to cancel the subscription as well as remove the app.
After cancelling, check the confirmation for the end date and any further charges. Access may continue through a paid period. A button offering to pause may preserve a later renewal rather than ending it, so read the action you chose.
Keep the cancellation confirmation. It should tell you when access ends and whether another payment is due.
